I have an issue with my calls on my iPhone going to my wife's iPhone also.what settings do I need to change

Settings > FaceTime > iPhone Cellular Calls to off on both phones. That will solve the issue you are having but you may also want to consider using separate Apple IDs. This is now enhanced with new family sharing features: https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/
