The computer stars and shows the apple sign but gets stuck at a no entry sign and does not go anywhere. The computer is a Mac\book pro MC 37477/A. Please help !!!!!!

If that's the case, being mid-2010, it only supports the 10.6 installer that shipped with it, and no retail 10.6 installer disc. Call AppleCare, if this disc was lost.
