A weird Arabic text was sent to my iPhone and caused it to crash, my iPhone seems to be acting fine however someone I know cannot open their messages app. Help?
My friend tried restarting the app multiple times, opening and closing the app, turning on and off imessage, nothing seems to work, I guess the next action should probably be to resync?

It didn't worked for me , bc I deleted every message history and I got any messages left, so it doesn't show me that I have unread messages. But if I put it on spotlight search the word power it shows me that I have a message. NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE
I have an iphone 4 running ios 7.1.2. I got a text message saying effective power. Then a bunch of arabic letters. This message does not crash my phone but I think it does crash everyone else's phone running the newest software update.

Hmmm, there was such a bug 2 years ago. It was supposedly fixed in 7.1.

OK, now I got the right one, but there's no arabic on the page and it doesn't crash my iPhone when I send the link to it.
I need to get the actual string somehow if I'm going to report it. Not just an image.
Yes, I finally figured that out. But I can't reproduce that string to test it, as it's an image that you posted. I am communicating with the PTB (Powers That Be) about it.
