Playback tempo does not match source file

MacOS 10.10.3

Mid 2014 MacBook Pro

Mainstage 3.1.1

Logic Pro X 10.1.1

I generated an mp3 file from logic. I then imported it into MainStage via drag and drop. When I use the playback plugin the track plays, but it is slightly slower and detuned (lower). It looks like it added 4 seconds to a 4 minute song. I also tried triggering the playback via the Playback>Transport>Play/Stop (from start) and it gives me the same problem.

Take a look at the "tempo" reading for the playback plugin. It is reporting 29.9 bpm. The source file, which I created in logic, was set to 80 bpm. The song is actually playing back higher than 29.9 bpm, but lower than 80 bpm - so it seems the playback plugin is definitely not reporting the correct tempo.

I've tried the different "snap to" options and none of them help.

How can I get the playback to just play the file as is rather than slow it down?
