Cannot access company intranet

I cannot access our companies intranet. I am using the proper logon, as others in my department are able to access it using the same information. I've emptied cache and reset safari, but it did not help. Dialog box comes up as not being able to see the intranet server.

G5, Mac OS X (10.3.9)

My guess is your proxy settings need to be changed. Whenever I connected to my previous company's intranet, I had to change these settings for the Web Proxy and Secure Web Proxy. In Safari, select Preferences->Advanced->Proxies (at the bottom of the window). You may have to contact your IT department for the address of the proxy server.
