Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I had been at 10.7.5 on my 2.3ghz core duo 2 MBP and I just upgraded to a SSD and did a clean install from my old 10.5.6 boot disk...(which still uses Mobile Me). I want to get to , at least, 10.7.5 which is where this machine worked before.... but I cant find any OS downloads that will get me there..... is there a source to update this machine to a usable iCloud OS so I can sync with my other machines?

You need to have used a 10.6 install DVD or 10.7 installer thumbdrive(these are very rare) to get to 10.7.5. Install Snow Leopard or Lion from the disk you used.

Thx Niel.... is there a way to download a 10.6.x or newer version..... the great thing about my SSD upgrade is, thy MBP took over 3 mins to boot before and i was almost ready to toss it but with the SSD it takes only 13 sec to boot.... I really want this thing to use iCloud, even if its on an older OS.
It isn't possible to download Snow Leopard at all(unless Apple has told you otherwise or you're part of an educational or corporate institution which makes heavy usage of Macs), or to download Lion from an OS older than 10.6.6.

It is true. If you don't currently have an usable install disk, click here; it's almost certainly not worth tracking down and buying a Lion install thumbdrive.
