That's always so insightful, if an app presets you with either an "undefined error" or even an "unknown error". Since these are undefined and unknown, there are also no known solutions. All you got from it is useless information.

I have installed mavericks from scratch, and I copied components folder from Time machine backup, then installed AUM and return error.
Click Ok and AU list show normally. But when attempt to flag-off any plug return another error....
I try to run repair permission from Utility Disk, but nothing change.
Its always best to simply reinstall all 3rd party plugins rather than copy them from a TM backup.... because issues relating to permissions and missing/incorrectly restored files can and do arise...
So... that's your solution.. Use the TRacks installer and reinstall from scratch.
Note: Audio Unit Manager is now discontinued and therefore old software and probably is no longer fully compatible with recent OS X versions... or other apps...libraries...
The last time it was updated was back in 2008.... (v2.0.4)
