iPhone 6 not recording 1080p

Hi guys,

I don't get it anymore and I hope someone can help me out!

When I start recording on my iPhone 6, it's supposed to record in 1080p. However, when I attach my iPhone to my MacBook and sync/drag the recorded video to my MB, it always shows: resolution 1280x720. Same for syncing/dragging to a Windows machine.

I tried the same with my iPhone 5, same result: 1280x720 only.

Last try: upload to YouTube.. same result: only HD 720p60. (Yes, uploading AFTER syncing, not export to the YT-app..)

What do I miss or what do I need to do? Tried to change the 60FPS setting, on/off, same result.

Your iPhone main camera captures only in 1080p. There are no setting to choose or change. Were/how are you checking the video resolution.

To bring in the full-resolution to your Mac, Import it thru your photo app, rather than drag it in.

To move the full-resolution video from the photo app to the desktop Option-Drag it, or File > Export > Export Original.

Otherwise, launch Image Capture from your Applications folder and use it to Import the video.
