Mailed off iphone to apple for battery repair, but I have maybe 4 screws missing from the phone...

I just mailed my phone off to an apple store to be repaired for a battery issue. I'm aware that there are 2 screws missing on the metal plate and the bottom screws that hold the phone and the screen together in place are missing. I'm under a warranty, will they still repair my phone? If not, if I replace the missing screws & take it back... will they then repair it?

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.1.3

I wouldn't call explaining the facts to you as being 'harsh'. Personally, I'd always ask questions before embarking on such a path (trying to repair an iPhone myself), check the warranty terms, and probably post here before doing anything knowing that I would be responsible for anything that would happen to it. I would have then sent it in for a screen replacement which, most likely, would have resulted in you getting a new phone (after paying the repair/replacement cost). That would have taken care of the battery issue as well.

If you get another iPhone, treat it well and don't attempt to repair it or jailbreak it which will also void the warranty.

I don't understand: will what still be voided?

When I mentioned a new phone, I meant that it is your decision if Apple returns your current phone in its current unrepaired state to buy a new one (or not). If you buy/pay for a new phone, you get a new warranty. You will know soon enough what Apple will do - or not do. It shouldn't take more than 24 hours after they receive your phone (check the tracking progress) to contact you.

Sorry for bothering you again. I got this message in my email about my phone repair from apple. What does this mean? That they repaired it..?

On its way!
Your repair request is complete and we're sending you a replacement product. You should receive it in about two business days. (If the product has a personalized engraving, it should arrive in about five business days.)

An adult will need to sign for the package, otherwise the courier will return the next business day. If you want the courier to leave the package in your absence, simply click the link below. This option is valid until: 2015-06-04
