Water Damage Iphone 6 infinite reboot!

Alright so over the weekend me and a friend flipped a jetski and water got into the glove box, unfortunately my iphone 6 only had a cheap case that didnt cover any of the ports. It was in the water for more than a minute, when i got back i tried everything. Me being so eager and dumb, to get it back i heated it up and then cooled it off. Later that night i put it in a bag of rice overnight. This morning it would turn on like normal with the apple logo while on charge. The thing is that i cant manually turn it on, when its on charge it automatically turns on and then reboots doing this for some time. Some times it wont even do that while plugged in, it works when it wants to it seems like... Any way i can get it to fully turn on? Tried to restore it and it didnt work, all my buttons dont seem to do much...

Nope. Water and electronics don't mix, but you probably know that now. Generally, the rice trick might slow the process down, but it won't recover it, and it is generally 5-7 days of rice. You did overnight, and have attempted to power it on, so you have probably fried it. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar and see about an out of warranty replacement. Turn it off for now, maybe by the time you get a Genius Bar appointment you can get it to turn on long enough to complete a backup.

There is no self-repair, nor software repair, for physical damage from water exposure. Shorted out and/or corroded internal components are permanently damaged. The only fix is to get the phone replaced. If you have AppleCare+ you can pay to use one of your two accidental damage claims. Otherwise, the standard out of warranty replacement fee will allow you to exchange your damaged device for a like new replacement.
