still the same. the image above always shows when the apple logo shows. 😟
On the bottom of the MBP is the serial number. Enter it here and post back the model/year information and advise which OSX is currently installed.

A 13" 2010 MBP came with Snow Leopard. Boot the MBP with the original installation disk.
After the language selection, on top of the display there should be a menu bar.
Click on UTILITIES.
From the drop down menu, select Disk Utility.
Run Disk Utility>First Aid, Verify and Repair.
If the disk cannot be repaired, it will have to be replaced.

when pressing the power button and hearing the ching image above always appear. When trying to hold c while cd is on, holding command ang power button it also appear or only kernel trap appers. 😟
That is unfortunate. Your best option then is an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. The evaluation will be FREE.
