reboot loop

husband is having same problem w/his iphone 5, running 8.0.3 and my 5s is also running 8.0.3

his phone keeps flashing the apple and once it finally rebooted, it lost his contacts, and notes. this happened Sat night, then on Sunday finally the contacts came back after a few reboots. the notes are gone. we've been trying to figure it out two days now.

we went through a stare and compare on my phone vs his phone and now my notes are gone. I finally was able to get some back but only 10/2014 and older. everything between Oct and May is gone.

What on earth is happening & how can we get our notes back?!?!? and his phone just crashed and rebooted again now.

Google DFU Reboot for iphone 5 and 5s. I may have the link somewhere. I fixed my friends phone by going through that process. as far as what you will be able to recover. You will be able to regain anything from your last back-up. The DFU Reboot will involve a series of pressing the (home) and (sleep/power) button type process.

Although this is stated as a fix for the phone shutting off at 50% 30% 20% etc. this is a process that should help you as well in your current situation. Also remember anytime it is possible to back up your phone so that no important data is lost. hope this helps.
