I tried to update my phone and got an error now the screen indicates I need to connect to itunes. When I connect to itunes it says the phone is in recovery mode and I can't use itunes. I can't even get the phone to turn off. I desperately need to get my phone working as I am travelling overseas tomorrow.

The only way to get out of recovery mode is to restore it through iTunes then reload your most recent backup. What do you mean when you say you can't use iTunes?

when I connect to itunes a message comes saying the phone is in recovery mode and I can't use itunes until the phone is restored. Apple sent me an article saying I need to download updated itunes but the download for itunes says I need OS X version 10.7.5 and I only have 10.6.8 an I can't seem to update this in anyway.
Yes, it seems that it needs repair, no luck with the ht1808 apple article. Thanks as least I won;t spend the next hours trying to resolve this. Very very inconvenient for me!
