What is wrong with my hard drive? s.m.a.r.t related

I have a 2013 MBP (ME294) that is barely used. When I tried to update it to Yosemite, it failed after download and showed a message that says my disk has S.M.A.R.T error.

I didn't know it is a serious problem and continued to use it for several months. The computer is still working completely fine with no problem but the system upgrade. So I just wonder whether there's actually a problem and what can I do. Thx!

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Open Disk Utility and select the main, out-dented, disk entry from the list. See what is reported for the SMART status in the lower status area. If you see S.M.A.R.T. Status : Verified, then your drive is OK.
