I have just added parental controls and my administrator's name and login do not work. The screen shakes when I use the details

I have just updated a Mac with parental controls, which meant I had to change the current login in to a managed account and start a new admin account. When trying to download adobe flashplayer I am prompted to enter the administrator's name and password. This is not accepted and the screen where you enter the details shakes.
