I have a 3.5"cd stuck in the iMac disk slot. Any suggestion for removal?
I have a 3.5" cd stuck in IMAC drive. It is too far in to withdraw manually and the eject key does not respond. How do I remove it?

Take a credit card or better yet a nice putty knife. Take a strip of tape and fold it sticky side out over the two sides of the knife/card and hold the tape in place at the end. Carefully insert the knife/card tape side first into the slot angled to the left side (glass side) then press the card/knife to the right (against the cd) and pull it straight towards you out of the slot.
or, take it to an Apple Store and a Genius will do it for you for free (locate.apple.com)
You posted in the Apple Watch forum. I've asked the hosts to relocate it to the iMac board.
Hey "Larry Finch" How about trying to help and answer then ask mods for them to move the thread?
Have you tried holding down the mouse button while turning on the iMac?
1)Shutdown Mac
2) Hold down mouse button.
3) with other hand press on button of iMac
4) see if disk ejects.
This trick with an L-shaped piece of card works well at removing SD cards that have been inserted in the CD/DVD drive, perhaps it'll work with a mini-CD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpwDfpH4hR0

I didn't know an answer other than the one already posted. However, I DO know that it has a much better chance of being seen by someone who DOES know the answer if it's in the proper board. As it is now.
This worked perfectly!!! Shutdown, hold mouse button down, turn on computer-- beautiful.
