Targeted Device Family question

I developed an app for a client of mine. The app was originally done in Flash CC 2014 and I had to get public and private keys so I could upload the Ripa to Apple. The app is running fine and in the store but the client needs the app to be searchable and it currently is not. Reason for this is explained in the answer client got from Apple support. My question here is I know I need to change the Targeted Device Family and I need to know since the app was NOT done in Xcode can I open the .ipa in Xcode and change it there? or is there another procedure to do this?
