"Unknown Title" playlists

I have successfully synched a playlist to my Watch (it actually appeared to be there before i connected to power and it synched!) but I also have 7 playlists called 'unknown title' that contain no music when they are opened. Has anybody else experienced this and how can they be removed?

Many thanks

Same issue here, and it seems quite rare as no one I spoke to at Apple has heard of it. Really annoying, I'm probably going to get the new iPhone when it comes out, will start from scratch then. If the issue is with the iPhone, I'm hoping that when I pair the Apple Watch again, I can install it from a back up as I'll lose all the Workout/Activity data. Does anyone know if this will be possible??

Prior to switching over to your new iPhone, if you back up your old iPhone to iTunes on your computer, ensure that you choose to "Encrypt iPhone backup". This will include Health data (and also saved passwords, Wi-Fi settings and website history). If you use iTunes without this option selected, Health data will be lost. iCloud backups are encrypted automatically.

Had a horrible feeling that would be the case. After in excess of 50 hours spent fixing my iTunes library because of Apple Music, to finally get it back in one piece to then discover I've got a load of Unknown Title playlists, the numbers of which are slowly increasing and the only fix so far is for a complete restore of your iPhone, which will then take another few hours to get it back to how I have it now, and have to lose all your Health Data as a consequence, suffice to say I hate Apple right now 😠 Here's hoping someone finds a fix, coz I doubt Apple will, I've submitted feedback, but I guess their inbox is fairly full right now, not surprisingly

Any update on this? My Apple Watch is showing a stupid amount of "Unknown Title" playlists. As described by others, these disappear if I select the Apple Watch as source, but reappear when I revert to iPhone as source. The idea of a "fix" being to completely restore the devices from scratch is ridiculous. I've tried to search possible empty playlists everywhere on my machine and hidden somehow in iTunes, but can't find anything. I'd love to know how to fix this...

Thanks for the update. Using the third party app "iBackupbot", I searched for "playlist" on my phone, and it turned up a ******** of "onthego" playlists (remember these from years ago?). The number of these playlists -- which don't appear anywhere visible in iTunes/iPhone -- roughly matches the number of Unknown Title playlists. I'm going to back up my phone, then try deleting these playlists using the third party app.... I'll report back.
