Boosting Home WiFi with TC, Express and Extreme

Ok I still can't get this to work, when I connect all three, the internet is immediately lost. So to refresh here is what I have. What I am trying to accomplish to boost the wifi signal throughout the house.

Verizon Router with WiFi in Bridge Mode (In garage connection box). House is wired and connected from the VZ router from this box.

Airport Time Capsule connected by cable to my MAC which is plugged into home WAN (?).

TC is set to (Internet -DCHP) / (Wireless - Create a Wireless Network) / (Network - Off /Bridge Mode )

1. I disconnected everything, reset the Verizon DSL wireless router set to bridge mode. (The router is in the garage in a metal in wall box so not very conducive for conducting wireless).

2. Plugged in and connected the TC. Set Network Mode as Create a wireless network. Set Router Mode as Off (Bridge Network). Got the green light connection all good.

3. Plugged in and connected the Airport Express. Set to Wireless to Extend Wireless Network. Got the green light all good.

4. Plugged in the Airport Extreme. Set to Extend Wireless Network. Good. Greenlight.

5. Then all the sudden lost internet connection. So in Airport Utility the Internet light went yellow while all three others are Green for each of the routers.

6. Then I reset the Verizon router... after a few minutes the Airport Extreme went Yellow. Then the Internet connection came back. Then Express went yellow. Extreme back to green. Internet is in and out now.

7. On my iPad using airport utility all is green now, but on the desktop TC and AE are yellow triangle.. lost connection.

Someone has suggested to use "Roaming" but there is no Roaming option anywhere that I can see.

Help Please.

Of Course Verizon claims all good on their side with ther DSL router.

You already know this....but if you call Apple Support, the chances are very good that they will tell you that all is good on the Apple side....and the Internet loss is due to Verizon.

Sometimes, in setups like yours, Apple Support will suggest that you configure the main Apple device incorrectly, and then "ignore" the error. I don't agree with this, but it might be an option if things continue to act up.

All that I can suggest is the correct setup that the Apple setup wizard provides. There is no way to change the way in which the setup wizard works. You had things working before. I do not know what might have changed.

If the correct Apple setup isn't going to work, then I'm out of ideas.....and you really need to call Apple Support.

They may ask you to set up things with an error on the network, and then "ignore" the error.

Please keep us informed of your progress.

Fair enough... so along those lines I 'm tired of fighting the system and intend to restore the VZ DSL router to factory, use the wifi and add the APPLE suite using the set up wizard as you suggest, the goal being to use use apple as the booster.

I found where to reset the TC but my question is if I do a hard reset do I lose all the data on it?

Resetting the TC only erases the stored network settings and returns them to factory defaults.

This does not affect the data on the Time Capsule hard drive in any way. In order to erase the Time Capsule hard drive, you have to perform a completely separate and deliberate Erase Disk operation.
