Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I just upgraded to Yosemite. Mac Pro 2010I used to be able to message from Ichat on my computer, now messages are not being sent.
When I try to log in, I get this error message. I am currently logged into iCloud and no problem with current password, just will not connect.

My computer shows no updates are needed.

Go to Messages prefs hi-light your account and go to server settings and change port to 443 and tick use ssl. after doing that login.

There are now five listed error messages in this Apple Doc Get help signing in to FaceTime, Game Center, Messages - Apple Support
Work through that items first.
Defcom has highlighted an AIM Account and pointed out this needs SSL.
Your post refers to not being able to log in to the iMessages servers which is different.

For iMessage those options are not even available.
