Apple Watch sometimes sends messages from iCloud account and not phone number

I have my Apple Watch settings in messages set to mirror my iPhone which is set to start conversations from my phone number. I don't use my iCloud account for messages just my phone number. Most of the time the replies I send through the watch are sent correctly and from my phone number but occasionally the response gets send by my iCloud account. Any way to fix this? Its resulting in my husband getting messages from me in different threads and its frustrating because the same thing is happening to me from his watch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TThere is a way to fix this. Go into your iPhone setting>Messages>send receive. Once there uncheck all email under start new conversation from. Your phone number shoul remain checked. This should fix the problem for you.

That happens to me to sometimes. Usually it will just go back to normal in an hour. People I know have also experienced this. I don't know how to fix it though.
