Spreadsheet widget for iBookAuthor?
Is there a plan to create a Numbers widget into iBookAuthor? It would be very helpful to have an active spreadsheet and charts imbedded in an iBook. Any ideas on how to do it today?

Apple don't comment on any upcoming features in development. Neither can anyone here, I'm afraid.
As to your spreadsheet requirement, in all honesty what you would be looking for is a bespoke HTML widget - which can run either when an icon or thumbnail is tapped, or 'live' on full-screen (the latter only working on iPads running iOS8).
Unless you are a dab hand at HTML5/css/javascript, then you'll have to outsource, which isn't cheap.
Bookry.com have a load of widgets to use, but also do a widget creation service.
