[iPhone 6] Dropping signal after calls

Hello, i am running an iPhone 6 on iOS 8.3 and recently (for the last few months), my signal drops for a few seconds to "No Service" after i end a phone call. Sometimes this happens even without me doing a phone call. I've been searching for fixes all over the internet, but I seem to be the only one with this particular problem. I tried resetting network settings, which seemed to work for about a day, but I can't be sure that was one of the fixes because i had no phone calls that day. This happens both after receiving and making a phone call. I also tried a general reset with no results. I checked for carrier updates, there were none.

I live in Romania (only premium resellers here, so no genius bar) and have 4G enabled (I've heard disabling 4G might be a fix - but I don't want to lose 4G connection as I'm paying for it) and live in the capital, so Signal is all over the place.

Question is, what should I do? If i send it to Apple and they can't reproduce the problem, I'll get my phone back just like it was before. If it's a software problem, how can i solve it other than turning off 4G?

Thank you for your time and answers!

Howdy Danicsel,

The article linked below details a few additional troubleshooting steps that can help prevent your iPhone from dropping its cellular data connection.

  1. Check for a Carrier Settings Update.
  2. Remove the SIM card then reinsert it. If the SIM card is damaged, worn, or bent, or doesn't fit in the SIM tray, contact your carrier.
  3. Try another location. If possible, see if other devices are able to connect to your carrier's network in that location.
  4. Contact your carrier to:
    • Verify that your account is active and in good standing.
    • Make sure there are no outages in your area.
    • Check that your device is not blocked from receiving cellular services and set up with the right data plan.
  5. Update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS.

If you still can't connect to a cellular network, and have confirmed with your carrier that there isn't an issue with your account or network, try restoring your device.

i Have the same problem, I've done all the things you suggest. Even spent two hours on the phone with Apple restoring it to factory setting after backup.

I am with O2, the signal improves out of doors and as far as I'm aware the 3g and sometimes 4 g symbol appears.

I had none of these problems with the 4s??

APple have arranged me an appointment at the Genius Bar at blue water on Saturday afternoon, I vowed never to set foot in that shopping centre 20 years ago.

I still suspect it may be a network problem not the phone. As it cost a lot to purchase I really have no choice to spend an hour driving to the ghastly place to make sure the phone is not faulty. I live in whitstable in Kent

Im on O2 network in Uk and have similar issue. My iphone is just 1 year and 2 month old so Im out of support according to apple. I have contacted apple and spoken with apple engineer over the phone. He tested , run diagnoses etc and suggested me to goto apple store milton keynes. Apple store milton keynes genius bar checked my phone and said yea there is lot of drop calls but we will charge £120 to fix that. Phone is faulty. Wondering is it really worth to buy such an expensive phone which can last only for year. I suspect fault is due to apple IOS release 9 but will they listen customer . No way , They can pay happily heavy fine to US and EU but will not every help their customers. I heard its deliberate attempt by apple so people buy new phone.
