can't import photos from nikon D3100

Question

can't import photos from nikon D3100

Hi guys....i have a Nikon D3100, have connected it to my mac and it won't let me import the photos i get this error message

I bought my Mac in Canada and the software is Yosemite 10.10.3 - when i try to get i photo in the App store its says this is not available in the UK?! 1HELP MEEEEEEEE how do i get my photos onto my computer I'm desperate lol!!

Hi sammieleigh83,

iPhoto is no longer available for the Mac unless it was previously purchased. You can, however, use its replacement, the Photos app, to import photos from a camera. See this article for how -
