802.1x System Profile

Hello dear Community,

i am trying to create an iphone configuration profile for 802.1x authentication that i can use on my mac running yosemite.

it has to be a system profile. system profile means:

System Profile: This profile also doesn't apply to local Mac accounts, only with domain networks. It enables connectivity to the network when no user is logged in to the computer, great when administrators always need network access to the computer. You can only have one instance of this profile type per location, and it supersedes any User and Login Window profiles.

i found an tutorial where i can create manually a profile but its no longer possible under yosemite.

i talk about this tutorial:http://www.esecurityplanet.com/views/article.php/3899996/How-to-Use-Enterprise-W iFi-Encryption-and-8021X-in-Mac-OS-X.htm

in this tutorial its possible to set the profil to system profile.

how can i manage to get a working config profile with the apple configuration utility that works under yosemite as a system profile?

i hope you understand my question. sorry for the bad language.

best regards

OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

We had the same issue. The above mentioned tutorial doesn`t work with Yosemite.

At the end it worked with the Profilemanager of the Apple Server (20$ in the Apple shop). Although one should assume that the profile generated with Apple Configurator or any version of profilemanager, we realized that the mobileconfig created by the server differs from older versions and also from configurator.

We created a P12-Certificate and inserted it in the profilemanager. Then created a network profile with Auto join enabled and "Use as a login configuration" disabled. Then the WiFi works before login.
