unable to activate iPad 2

one of the user returned the iPad to the company

and we select reset and delete all content

user key in the iPad password

after deletion, the iPad cannot activated

the iPad is connected to WIFI

it will say UnSupported SIM,

The Sim card you are attempting to use is not a standard 20 digit ICCID that is required by the iPhone.

This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please contact your carrier and obtain a standard SIM Card

i have tried a sim card from the iPhone, doesnt work

i have tried WITHOUT sim card, doesnt work

both scenario show the same message

Please help

I am currently talking to Applecare re this. I think its an activiation issue on their end so may just tkae time to sort. Will keep you updated

A new itune update has just been released, I downloaded it and restarted PC. Now it has allowed me to proceed to restore my device. Fingers crossed 😀

Same Problem here in Germany with an iPad I , had some issues with safari browser, so best idea was to reset the iPad...

Hello Everyone! I have managed ti fix the issue by using only wifi without Enterprise/WPA2 protection. After several unsuccessfull attempts with different sim cards I have decided to share my mobile internet connection and it got work done. Hope it helps.

I think it's working now. I was just trying to activate from iTunes and it worked!

As suggested above...

Have iTunes search for an update... there is a new one... run the update and my iPad now activates fine (without the SIM card, I've not tried it with the SIM in)...

Issue has been fixed now. Resetting the iPad 2 without iTunes is also working.

Same has just happened to me on iphone 4: After i reseted all settings iphone and then i try to fixed, so it badly got problem with error 3014 cause of file host on my laptop. It fixed that 3014 error when i dowload hotspotshiel and turn it on before open itune to restore! now i'm waiting IOS to solve that stupid thing cause of them... so bad day
