Macbook Pro 13" shutting down at login screen after 5 mins inactivity

Hi, I recently bought a new MacBook Pro 13" (Early 2015, MacOSX 10.10.3).

I noticed that if my MacBook sits on the initial login screen for approx. 5 minutes it shuts down.

I don't get other shut down issues after I login or when the MacBook goes to sleep.

I've checked my disk and permissions, repairing the few permissions needed...

I am running with an encrypted SSD, no other special settings.

Energy Saver is set to 15 minutes under Power Adaptor, 3 minutes under Battery.

Ultimately, I am just wondering if this is an undocumented feature or if there is an actual issue.

From the menu bar, select

 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Security & Privacy

If there's a closed padlock icon in the lower left corner of the preference pane, click it and enter your login password when prompted.

Click the Advanced button and, in the sheet that opens, uncheck the box marked

Log out after … minutes of inactivity

Are you absolutely sure you were looking at Security & Privacy, not Energy Saver?

After re-reading your original question, I think the behavior you see is normal. If FileVault is active, and you don't log in at the pre-boot authentication screen within a certain time, the system shuts down automatically.
