My new Retina Macbook screen flickers intermittently throughout the day. I haven't be able to peg it to any specific software or use situation and resetting the PRAM doesn't seem to help.
Anyone else experience this? If it's just a new product firmware problem, I'll just wait, but if it's possible it's hardware, I'd obviously like to get it addressed.

Bought my mid 2015 Macbook Pro less than two weeks ago and have the same problem... so gutted. terrible apple.
Went to Apple service, they diagnosed faulty GPU, new logic board - no problems now! Thank you Apple 🙂

I used to have this issue on my Late 2013 MacBook Pro 15" but macOS Sierra (10.12) seems to fix it. Finally!
I have the latest macOS Sierra version installed. And unfortunately it is still happenin..
I have this problem - very severe flickering - will not stop. My 15" macbook pro is under 2 months old.
But while using external display there is no any flickening even in native resolution and above
I took backup and clean the laptop and reinstall the OS. And now I am not putting much data on the laptop. Just the necessary stuff.
This totally did it. Wow. I was searching for computer-related issues forever! Thank you!! Just changed where it was plugged in!!

When Apple changed GPU and changed your the MBP to a mid-2015 with AMD, Your Mac is still covered under the standard one-year limited warranty, right ?

Yes, I also have had this problem. I went down to the bottom of the screen where it shows a silver wheel. Open it up to network. Then make sure the blue tooth is off. This solved my problem 🙂
