Are you having a specific problem or are you just concerned about the number of running processes? Killing files in Activity Monitor can make your mac unstable if you stop something that you don't completely understand. There are always going to be a lot of processes running, perfectly normal.

Aug 30, 2015 4:57 PM in response to danielfromclarkstonby Tybau,★HelpfulOk I figured it out. You have to open the app. Then open the force quit page with "command, option, esc". Then force quit the app. After that go to applications and there you will be able to throw the app in the trash. You will then be asked to type in your password.

Sep 3, 2015 12:56 PM in response to Tybauby Karen Garst,Thank you, thank you. I had been expecting a video from my marketing consultant and clicked on the Skype because I thought it was his video. Big mistake. Ended up with megabuck-up. Option command esc. worked like a charm. I put it in my passwords book just in case I do it again! Glad there are some very smart people to help me out there!

Sep 5, 2015 10:08 PM in response to Tybauby RELODEN,★HelpfulI fear megabackup will damage my computer if I try and erase. when it prompted me to give my mac password I'm like, I was dumb enough to click you to open once. Twice ? shame on me. Do I really type in my password for my mac.com or for the ibook? it is a different password. Thank you.

Sep 6, 2015 8:55 AM in response to Mike Sombrioby KAArtis,★HelpfulThanks for all your help so far.
I still have a challenge: I'm able to remove Megabackup through Activity Monitor, BUT I cannot remove "Megabackup Agent." It won't go to the trash (it just floats back to the Activity Monitor window. Consequently, it seems, I cannot move the Megabackup icon to the trash from the Applications folder.

Sep 17, 2015 5:39 AM in response to KAArtisby mckngbrd,★HelpfulSAME HERE. Even when i force quit then try to drag it to trash, it won't work. I have several other "applications" that appeared at the same time as this incredibly annoying MEGA BACKUP. No sure what to do next. I can't even see my screen for all the pop-ups.
HELP!
