How to convert video to amv file?

My client wants to get his video in amv format. Is any convertor for this that works in MacOS?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), FC PRO X, Motion 5

Never heard of 😕 ... after some googleing:

It's a proprietary speciality, … the ffmpg project has included it, therefor you'll find in these 'cheap' convert-it-all softwares, that convolute the AppStore.

Before downloading such a tool (no, I don't link to those...), download and install the excellent

AdwareMedic from one honorable forum member ... I don't trust those ffmpg-front ends....

Ask your client why he doesn't want a more … regular codec. 😉

I've been using FFMPEGX for years now, it is perfectly safe. There are others that I wouldn't trust, but FFMPEGX is great, open source, been around, stable, nothing wrong with it at all. Long, long honorable history of open source development.

I am curious why someone would still want a .amv file in today's world. The chips it was proprietary to are so out of date and obsolete it ain't funny.
