Hi,

My bank website is not opening anymore. All the others websites are working ok, only the bank one no. I have been accessing it for years, with no problem. I am used both Safari and Google Chrome to open it. "The requested URL was not found on this server". Does somebody know how to fix it? I already check with the bank and they said the website is working well.

Thanks

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

10.10

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items. Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History and Web Site Data. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site. Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library./Caches/com.apple.Safari/Caches.db and move it to the trash.

If you have problems opening webpages, take a look at these troubleshooting techniques suggested by Apple.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204098

Go to Safari menu (At the very top right side of your screen next to Apple icon), choose "Quit Safari"

press "Shift" button and while holding this button on your keyboard single click on the Safari icon on your Dock.

Open Safari - Preferences - Privacy - Remove All Website Data.

Go menu with Option (Alt) key pressed - Library - locate Safari folder and move it to your desktop.

The page you refer to in your second message works fine here. So there are a few possible explanations for the issue on your end.

To start with, try restarting your computer in safe mode:

Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support

While in safe mode, open Safari and try to load that page. Does it work then, or does it still fail?

If it fails, choose Preferences from the Safari menu, then click the Extensions icon in the window that opens. If you have any extensions installed, toggle the big On/Off switch to Off. Now try loading that page again. Does it work, or does it still fail?

I have tried all you suggested, but till know nothing is working?

Just to be clear, you tried safe mode and tried turning off all Safari extensions, and the problem is still occurring in Safari?

If that's correct, are you actually using Mac OS X 10.6.8, as your profile indicates, or a newer system? If you're not sure, you can find out by choosing About This Mac from the Apple menu.

If you have a newer system, try restarting the computer in recovery mode, by holding down command-R at startup. When the computer starts up, you will be given four different options, one of which is Get Help Online. Click that, and a clean copy of Safari should open. Use Safari to go to that site. Does the same thing happen?
