Iphone 6: music starts playing by itself

I have contacted Apple Support as it was driving me mad.

They could not help, they kept telling me the same old same old, re-start the phone etc....

People......I've also been on many web pages regarding this problem.

THERE IS ONLY ONE REASON APPLE HAS NOT FIXED THIS BUG.

THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO....IMAGINE THAT.

They just cannot admit that they cannot fix this problem, imagine a software company like Apple

not being able to fix a simple problem, they would never admit it and make themselves look mediocre.

Hard to believe that a company that is worth so much on the stock market cannot fix such a simple problem, with all

the technology they have and all the software programmers working on IOS......STEVE WOULD TURN IN HIS GRAVE, ESPECIALLY AS IT WOULD BE HAPPENING ON HIS IPHONE AS WELL.

Experiencing the same issue. Both music app and Pandora spontaneously playing. Embarrassing and ridiculous. APPLE PLEASE FIX.

Turn everything off until you get the problem under control is my advice. I'm having a similar problem and I mght stop into the apple store. Super annoying

Apple and FB are the whore of data mining and they do whatever they want; sometimes it has "glitches". This is who we give our $$$ to. Napster wasn't so bad, huh?

This might work - open "music" on your phone and tap "library" on bottom left. Then tap "edit" on top right of screen and uncheck everything (playlists, albums, artists etc etc).

My girlfriends android has recently started doing this as well. She did the same thing I did in deleting pandora and has no issues since.

I have the automatic music too, but never use earbuds. Don't think they are the problem

Can be due to pandora app or broken headphones, which are triggering the music app.

Once i deleted pandora app it worked fine.

check here other possible cause.

Got an email today from apple support. Looks to be some solid reasons.

It happened to me this week. The music was indeed coming from Pandora. Handoff was already off for settings.

I have run pandora for a long time, and it is not what is waking up. It is the Iphone music app that is waking up.

My music is playing even when out of range or vehicles are shut down for the night. Sounds like you had a different problem.

Maybe it has something to do with Bluetooth.

I also have this issue and I am not 100% certain that it has never done it without the head phones plugged in? I am being more observant and waiting for the next time it happens....
