Iphone 6: music starts playing by itself

Hi,

It started after update to iOS 8.3. Music on iPhone will start paying by itself when the iPhone is locked. I had it happened multiple times and can not figure it out what's causing it. Last time it was in my pocket at work and all of a sudden it started blaring out of my pocket during the meeting. It was quite embarasing.

Any suggestion how to stop this is greatly appreciated.

I have this exact same issue. When any pair of headphones are jacked in and the phone is locked and sitting still, the music will randomly come on and play. The music the phone chooses is not what was last played and completely random.

If i am using my phone on any app and have any pair of headphones plugged in, the voice control will randomly come on several times, random music will start to play, and get in the way of whatever other app I am using.

I cannot turn off "raise to wake" because it doesn't exist on iphone 6.

Keep having this on my iPhone 5s and now it's happening on my mom's 6. Really appalling that Apple support hasn't solved this problem. No, shutting down all running apps does NOT stop the music from playing. Seems to be triggered by the stupid Voice Control interface that shows up at unwanted times.

Music that starts playing and won't shut off is totally unacceptable. As is Apple Support ignoring this issue.

Hello there,

I am experiencing just the same issues, iTunes and Siri start by themselves. This is incredibly annoying and simply unacceptable that Apple is not only clueless on how to fix this bug but, even worse, it completely ignores its users' concerns and their right to have at least a valid explanation.

I have this problem, too. Since I was on a call today with an Apple support person about a different issue, I decided to tell him about music playing on its own. Apple support people don't look at user discussions in this forum! He looked up the issue in their own system and found that no one has reported it. He put my call on hold to ask a few of his colleagues about users calling about music playing on its own. No one had heard of it! So they recommend that all of you contact Apple support to log this as a problem for you.

I read to him some of the post discussions so that he can understand that there are many different types of situations where music is playing automatically - some with headsets, some without headsets, some with the phone sitting on a table, etc.

The more we all call Apple and log this as a problem, the better. Apple Support: 800-694-7466

I have contacted Apple Support as it was driving me mad.

They could not help, they kept telling me the same old same old, re-start the phone etc....

People......I've also been on many web pages regarding this problem.

THERE IS ONLY ONE REASON APPLE HAS NOT FIXED THIS BUG.

THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO....IMAGINE THAT.

They just cannot admit that they cannot fix this problem, imagine a software company like Apple

not being able to fix a simple problem, they would never admit it and make themselves look mediocre.

Hard to believe that a company that is worth so much on the stock market cannot fix such a simple problem, with all

the technology they have and all the software programmers working on IOS......STEVE WOULD TURN IN HIS GRAVE, ESPECIALLY AS IT WOULD BE HAPPENING ON HIS IPHONE AS WELL.
