Can't watch movies on Quick time player

Hello,

i tried to download the following movie from Kickass torrent but quicktime player won't let me watch it because it won't support the movie's extension displaying the following message::

QuickTime Player can't open "HD-TS.XVID.AC3.HQ.Hive-CM8.avi".

which software do i need to download to be able to watch this movie?
