Apps such as Little Snitch, Growl, and MacKeeper, can prevent updates or apps from downloading.


Disable anti virus software if installed


Check the firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options


Make sure Gatekeeper is enabled


Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.


Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected.


If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

Unfortunately, all these settings were as recommended by you, and nothing has changed or allowed the download to continue. It is showing paused now, however. When I hit resume, it returns to status of "waiting..."


I can't attempt to download the app again either, as that selection is not available now that it is already queued up in my list of downloads.
