With iPhoto I used to be able to set Music to "none" when playing a slideshow. There does not seem to be a way to do this with Photos. The only Music options are selecting music from iTunes or from Themes.
I could create a silent piece of music and select that, I suppose, but I read somewhere that there was a copyright on this đ

Just click on the music note icon to show the "Selected music" list. Hover the pointer over any item on the list & you will see a small x in a black circle appear next to it. Click that to delete it. Once the list is empty there will be no music ... & you won't have to violate any copyrights to do that. đ
Thanks for the tip. It would be better if there was a "none" selection from the Music drop down list, as with iPhoto.
Also I have realised that the tip only works for Slideshow projects - I need to create a new slideshow then edit the music setting. I usually just play a slideshow by clicking the Play button for a selected album. That does not seem to have the option to deselect music.
