Good Video Camera with MacBooks?

I'm looking for a camera that can take good video and will work with my MacBook and iMovie. I have a new MacBook (still has USB ports) and am looking for something simple and easy to use. It can be in camera or camcorder format and wiIl mainly be used for recording my kids. If you have suggestions or could lead me in the direction of the correction format of camera I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Apple's list of Cameras supported by iMovie. (Others may work, but these are known compatible.)

Here are my suggestions. You don't show a location, so verify that your choice works with the video system used in your country:

SMALL, low-priced, compact, light-weight, reasonable quality for price. (Link to Manufacturer's info.)

High quality video at a higher price and larger size with the flexibility to choose lenses for different uses. (Link to detailed review.)
