received email from "Apple Care" requesting I validate Apple ID in 3 days or ICloud will be deleted. Is this a scam?

I received an email from "Apple Care" (address shown as support@itunesios9care.com) saying I have to validate my Apple ID in 3 days or lose my ICloud. It says Apple is required by guidelines to perform a verification of my Apple ID. There is a link to click on to Validate Your Apple ID. This sounds like a scam to me. Please advise.

Yes, it's a scam. Emails from Apple end in apple.com not ios9care.com

Thank you very much. This is pretty scary. Is there a way to report this to Apple so they know they are being used in this criminal activity? I would think someone at Apple would be able to track this bogus address and nail this person. Should I just email the Apple company and report this myself? Thanks again.
