Anyone notice how awkward the skip button is positioned?

1. My iphone is sleeping, playing some music.

2. I wake it up to skip to next track.

3. I click the skip button but miss it and hit the volume button instead - to maximum.

4. Thanks to the button placent, my ear is bleeding now.

Any way around this?
