iPhone 4s will not delete messages
My iPhone 4s will not delete messages, and when I attempt to delete them the phone freezes and restarts. Its operating system is iOS 7.1.2, it has 16 gigs of data.

To start troubleshooting this issue where Messages is quitting when deleting messages, please go ahead and first force close all of the apps currently running on the device, and then reset it by following the steps in the articles below.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
