iTunes 12.2 Featured Radio Stations/Beats 1 Not Working

This helped me! It looks like most apple radio stations are only available for free in the US.

Apple please make this clear from inside iTunes! don't make people waste their time in forums to figure out things that should be obvious. Better yet don't put a "play" button if it does nothing.

Yes this was the key.

Of course, now that iTunes Radio finally comes to Canada, they jack up the price from $28 to about $120. I know the reasons and that you get more with Apple Music but I was really looking forward to the option.

Agreed, what a dumb design move. Hopefully they make it obvious you need an account in the next iTunes update

Signing in and out doesn't fix Beats1 radio for me. It just beachballs for about 30seconds to a minute then shows that it's connected but the stream never starts or plays anything. I'm a US customer and it works fine on all my iOS devices. Just not my MacBook Pro

P.S. All other radio stations and features seem to work just fine for me just not beats1 radio.

I got the exact same problem. beats 1 doesn't work on macbook but it does on iOS devices. all other stations work perfectly on macbook though. signing out doesn't help.

did you solve that problem yet? I've the same issue (Beats 1 works fine - all other not) and all the suggested solutions did not work.

It looks like you have to sign up for Apple Music if you want all the radio stations.....so I haven't bothered. It's a bit annoying because before the update to the new iTunes, you could browse and listen to various radio stations including comedy (which is not even a category anymore). Hey ho such is life.

You'll find all hundres and thousands of stations, including comedy, under the "Internet Radio" tab!

iTunes/View/More/Internet Radio, or Cmd-9

Select elipsis (⋯) below volume control and Edit to add an icon shortcut.

Same thing here on 2011 iMac 21 when I installed 12.2.2. Had to sign out of iTunes. Then back in and reenter credit card information. Odd. Now works fine.

iTunes 12.3 . Tried logging in and out. Still not working.

Same problem on phone.

From Malaysia which is included in the 100 countries. Used to play before June when problem started.

What should I do?

I just want to listen to Beats 1 again.

I was having the same problem on my Windows computer (it worked fine on my iPod, but not my computer), and your comment reminded me that I hadn't signed back into my iCloud account for awhile. Signed in, and walah! It works! Thanks!
