Icloud music library not activating

When I try to switch on Icloud Music Library it switches back off within a few seconds automatically.

I've tried all the methods so far: airplane mode, remove/add my account, reboot, closing Music app, disabling Wifi.

Country Romania.

I even contacted Apple Support, they had no idea about this..strange.

I see no error message, just the switch going back off by itself in a matter of seconds.

True they messed up a little bit, but I would think that if you programme it and you release it to the public you are kind of bound to what you claim, at least this is how it should be. And Apple as far as I know they stayed true to what they promoted.

Regardless, at this point I am able to play offline the files I put into a queue while connected to Apple music, they do not appear into my music which is not a big issue, but imagine if you want to add something and you are not able to connect. How many can you add, yet I have not tested it. Also this means that it kills it for me still, as this sort of stuff I can do without any problems with various other software or websites. It would be nice to possibly create playlists and so on.

Cheers! Hope you wrong still, but only time will tell.

So basically they said you won't be able to enable iCloud Music Library in Romania?

If so, I think some questions are:

- Why is it advertised on the Apple Music page that you can save offline? Is that only a translation issue?

- Will it become available in the next 3 months until September? Are there any plans for that?

Anyway, it's pretty messed up that even Apple employees have no clue what exactly they're supporting when someone calls them to ask questions.

This issue indeed renders this service useless for pretty much anyone in Romania, and of course given that there isn't a definitive clarification from Apple on this matter I also hope it's just a glitch, although I highly doubt it.

At least they should specify clearly why is not working! Nowhere is a specific info about this. How hard it is to put an entry in a page specifying why is not working?

I do not know how many other countries have the exact same problem as us, but for sure no one from those countries would continue paying the subscription without the Offline option and icloud library. That was the big point of this.

If you want only to stream online, you have youtube which is free and also legal, no point of paying a monthly fee.

I really do like the new Apple Music service but, ****..I won't pay any cent if it will continue to be such limited in Romania.

My guess is that they realize only now that countries where ITunes in the cloud service is not available, cannot use icloud music library. Well, dear Apple Staff, you should have thought about this BEFORE launching this service in those countries.

Time will tell, we still have 3 months of free usage until we chose to pay or not...and if Apple does not fix this problem, a **** lot of possible subscribers will go bye bye.

I think that it is in Apple's interest to make it work, not having the possibility to make a simple playlist which can be sync to your iPhone/iPad/iPpod/Mac/Apple TV will actually change the game. I can sync on my Mac every device and I do not need to pay, new stuff can be listen via various websites application so that again I can do without Apple Music. Needless to say I think it is a terrible mistake not to fix this within this 3 months if not in the next few days, or at least come out with a phrase to explain what is and what is not released to Romania or other countries experiencing same issues.

The answer is not in loosing our subscription, nor in giving a name to what or who can offer a better choice, that knows Apple itself, however being able to use a service that it is at the beginning at the road it is rather a important thing, and marketing it another, you need to think numbers ultimately. I know this sounds harsh, but judging the possibilities that in Romania as well as other similar position countries - not that this the intent of Apple, which it is not any how - you need more persevering.

I or you can make the best of internet now, some of the stuff can be accessible no matter if someone wants you to do so or not. Best thing is to wait a while longer as this seems to drag a little bit.

Right if this feature of either sync, share or being able to create playlist within your apple music account is not met now or in the end of your trial, than as it stands this service has failed to respond to our needs and will not drive us to subscribe, will be some numbers less but will be a loss!

Have faith this will probably be solved!

I think above all this is a great support for all enthusiasts musicians, great move most probably with benefits, but what is not? Apple come on! Sort us out!

Same issue for me also , but I did manage to add two songs to my music library . i believe it will eventually work but that the servers are overloaded at this time . The way it did work for me for , was that I started to switch on the iCloud music library and for a couple of seconds it did not switch back to off . In the meantime I was able to add tWo songs to the library , but currently I am unable to repeat the process .

HOpe they'll fix it soon

Yes, the advertising states very clear that offline option, cloud music saving is available in RO. Now it remains to see if this is false advertising or not.

Because if it is, lucky for us, in Romania, OPC is very strict about advertising products and for sure I will file a complaint after the first paid month if Apple does not clear things up!

If indeed Apple does not clear this issue for us to know what is available and what not for those 5 EUR, I will pay the first month just to be able to file that complaint. As per law, as long as something is advertised, and you as a company do not comply, it equals with false advertising which has serious consequences.

I have also asked eddy cue on twitter what's the catch with this issue. No answer 'till now.
