iCloud music library error (4001)

I'm having this exact same issue, over and over. I have 50k songs in my library, so I'm wondering if that' s the issue (since the match limit appears to be 25k until iOS9 comes out and it bumps up to 100k).

In the meantime, I don't think I can get my phone Apple Music to sync with my computer's Apple Music, and the unification is basically the #1 thing I'm looking for here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have about 35.000 songs in my library.

It works on my iPhone and iPad, but my iMac has this problem.

I am having the same issue. I tried for about 3 hours last night.

I have about 31,000 songs in my library right now. Is there a way to get the upload to get through over 25,000 songs?

It is very annoying to have the Apple Music on and not be able to listen to created playlist on my iPhone that I created on my Mac.

I don´t know if there is a way to do that with +25.000 songs.

In the last hours I copied about 12.000 sound files that I only use for my customers films to an external drive.

Now I have about 24.000 songs in my iTunes library.

And now activating iCloud library works.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I hope that's not the only way. Would be a pain to move half my library out just to get this to work. Alternatively, would also suck to have to wait for iOS9 just to get to share Apple Music playlists between my phone and Macbook. Maybe I'll give this a couple more days before doing anything drastic. Or I may just stick with Spotify until this is sorted...

Add me to the list. I have over 110,000 songs in my collection so I guess I'm pretty screwed given what I've seen everyone else say to this point. It seems the common denominator in this equation is having too many songs. It's odd that Apple would ignore the needs of hardcore music collectors such as it does.

Can you import them back after you got this work?

IMO Spotify is the better solution.

When I use Apple Music, I have to upload all songs to the iCloud Library what will need months with my bad internet connection.

Until then I can´t use my music on my iOS devices because I can´t sync my music between iTunes and iOS devices when I use Apple Music / iCloud Library.

I just deactivated Apple Music and iCloud Library on all my Macs and iOS devices...

Same Problem here. I have about 30000 songs and using Windows 8.1. Sync between iPhone and iPad is ok. But on iTunes i get Error 4001.

The Magic Number is 25.000. I have 24.858 Songs in my Libraey at this point and it Works.

If you go and add more Songs to your Library than 25000 than iCloud Music Library notifies you it only sync about 25.000 Songs.

Well the upside is you can sync Playlists to iPhone and iPad now with Apple music Songs in it.

I only have 719 songs and i keep getting error code 4001.

Is Genius active in you iTunes Library?

you can try this

"deauthenticate itunes computer" and log off your Apple ID.

Reboot the System.

Log your Apple ID back in and "authenticate itunes computer".

Genius isn't active, and I Just finished trying that, and it failed....
