I just updated iOS, and got the subscription for Apple Music. I was exploring albums I didn't have, and came to one, namely Genesis' R-Kive album. I don't own that album.
Now, the weird thing is part of the songs are available to me, but part of the songs are greyed out, and I can't play them.Why would that be? Can anyone check on this side?

Exactly the problem in a nutshell, there you go.
You need to allow "Explicit Songs" in the General Settings. See that little "E" there? That stands for exactly this.
For explicit content, head over to Settings -> General -> Restrictions -> Enable -> Music & Podcasts -> on
In my case, there's no "E".
same issue here.... no Explicit song but within an album some songs are greyed out..... any suggestion ?

If some random songs are greyed out, a sign out and sign in can work. It did for me. I'm sure this is only a bug due to server overload. Apple will get it right soon.
I hope they fix it.. let's get it easy since it is the trial period and we are not paying any cent ... better for apple they fix it since there are a lot greyed out ... by the way I did the sign out and sign in but nothing changes...

Sadly, the sign out, sign in didn't work in my particular case.
I'm curious, if anyone has time, can anyone check for the album "R-Kive" by Genesis if they see part of the album greyed out, part available? Oddly, as it is a mixed "best of" album, the songs from Genesis are available, but the ones from the individuals within the group (Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, etc) are the ones greyed out.

Hmm, that's odd. Perhaps it would have to do with distribution rights in different countries? I live in Canada.
Sure. I'm in Germany and only number 23 is greyed out ("Silent Running"). Nice comp btw.
same here with the album you mentioned.... I live in Italy and Silent Running is greyed out for me as well.. could it be that it is grey just for the Trial period ? If instead it is due to the rights and you are forced to buy the album the whole Apple Music would be crappy !!!!

I do not use restrictions in settings. No doubt it's not about Explicit Content.
