How to Remove "Love" or Heart Icon in iTunes

In the latest update, iTunes added a "Love" selection to indicate whether or not you like a song a lot. This is terribly illogical; I personally don't keep songs in my Library that I don't like. The heart is appearing over and over, next to the song names, albums, and of course, the columns (this is next to the song name, time, artist, and so forth). The latter can easily be removed using familiar methods.

The heart option, however, does NOT want to go in the other locations. Does anyone know how to remove it?

I think thats what the original post meant by 'familiar methods; but

It still shows:

to the right of the 'Edit' Icon in the playlist,
to the left of the up next in the visualiser

Does anyone know how to remove these?

I have a couple of songs that show the heart (I probably accidentally turned it on). I seem to be able to make that heart filled in or not, but I haven't found how to eliminate it altogether for that song.

Unless you want to "unselected" the heart for that or whichever song, which you can do by:

a) On iTunes: right-click over the shaded heart and uncheck Love.

b) On MyMusic on iPhone, iPad etc.: tap on the shaded heart on the left side of the song to clear (unshade) the selection.

Thanks, I didn't notice that the white heart went away. I was expecting either to have a heart or not have one. The third state confused me.
