Yes, Reduce Motion enabled (no parallax effect) is what causes the screen rotation issue. Having it off (parallax effect present), there is no rotational issue.
Darn, read it wrong again. I'm testing now. I turned on Reduce Motion and I will give the iPad a few minutes to sleep.
Wishing both you and Demo (and all others here that celebrate) a Happy 4th as well. I've already BBQ'd our burgers & hotdogs...and myself as well. SoCal summer heat stinks. Fireworks will likely be viewed in HD tonight, in the comfort of our home.
😁
Our partying is over for the day as well.
We took a trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo today with my wife's sister and her husband and checked out the new additions to the place. We love the zoo and its one of the great treasures of our wonderful city. After the trip to the zoo, we had dinner out. We let someone else do the BBQ-ing this year. Fittingly enough, we ate at a restaurant called Carnivore's which is a local sports bar that is located pretty close to where we live. The ladies have had enough for the day, so we will just be hanging out at home now. I can hear the kids in the neighborhood setting off firecrackers and the like as I sit here typing away. I will probably head out to my back deck, turn on the TV and catch the fireworks for the capitol.
Checking on the iPad now ....Wow, you hit the nail on the head SergZak. With Reduce Motion enabled, the iPad will not rotate either coming out of sleep. I turned it off in the settings, and after tapping the home button, the screen rotates again. Great investigative work. I wish I had points to award you as well. We should all file bug reports using SergZak's findings.
Sorry to all of you other folks for hijacking the thread with our tales of 4th of July celebrations. Enjoy the rest of the holiday everyone!!!
