Shuffle music from an artist using iOS 8.4

Actually the suggestion from Ghaunadaur will shuffle all songs from an artist, even if you have more than three albums. I have 13 AC/DC albums on my phone and following that suggestion was able to get my phone to shuffle through all of them. So I can once again shuffle music from an entire artist but am still looking to see if there's a way to shuffle all music on my phone.

Don't get me wrong, I still think the way Apple now has the music app set up *****.

What about shuffling from Genres? This feature was available pre-ios 8.4 but seems to have gone away. When I spoke with a rep from Apple she suggested putting everything from a specific genre into a playlist and turning on shuffle after selecting the playlist. Again an extra step and I have over 6,000 songs in my library.

I've given this new App hours of my precious time to do things with my music that used to be simple and flexible. And seriously Apple, RADIO? CONNECT? Who are you trying to become? Pandora? Spotify? Ridiculous. Give us back our iTunes!

I agree, and with this new update, I wish it would restore things the way they used to be.

I am considering getting another phone when my contract is up because this really really annoys me.

You should update to iOS 9 - it adds Shuffle option right at the top of the page to (1) the Songs list in My Music, (2) Playlists page and (3) Artists page. Not unfortunately to Genre yet.

I am going to go droid if this isn't addressed by a new update.

I also bought a paid subscription to Pandora, because I used to shuffle artists and genres, and you cannot anymore.

Check out Cesium in the App Store. So annoyed with Apple Music but this app is a good replacement and allows for sufing by Genre

Because I have the iPhone6, I said forget it and just upgraded to iOS9 last night and appears that they fixed the music app there. Once again I'm able to view all albums of an artist and shuffle all songs and when looking at the entire list of artists I have the shuffle all button once again.

Note: If you went into the now playing option and turned shuffle on there, make sure to go in and turn it off there before upgrading.

Agree with others the new music design is extremely frustrating. Losing option to shuffle songs from one artist with more than two albums is absolutely miserable. I should not have to search forums to figure out why it does not work with three albums but works fine with two albums. And integration with the music store is simply annoying. Apple is now the worst company I know in terms of making you go around their service offering just to use a device for music you've already paid for. Staying away in the future.

I have seen two issues. Sometimes I have a shuffle all albums option and sometimes I don't. Alternatively I found I can go to the artist page and see all my albums. If the shuffle icon is not present, the I hit the 3 dots at the very top right. Choose "Add to Up Next". this will add all songs to the up next. They always seem to be shuffled as well. Once it's playing, you can go to the Now playing screen and hit the 3dots w/3 Lines. Next to the forward button. This will show you the up next category and let you arrange or delete anything you don't want to listen to next. I use this option a lot when throwing parties. I will usually leave the iPad on the counter on this screen to let people pick and choose music.
