I have a Mac Pro 1,1, 10.7.5. purchased a Nvidia quadro 4500 (mac version). The power cord to the vid card (6 pin to 6 pin mini) was not ncluded. Will the card work if I plug it in without the power cord until I can get one (assume its just for the fan). Thanks.

nope, sorry, you'll need the power cord to get it running. Hopefully you have a spare card or can wait that long. You can get the cord here

Note that you need a Mac cable. Cables for PCs do not plug into the socket on the logic board
yes you need all the power cords it has inputs for. Those cords provide additional 12 Volt power to run the graphics processor, not just fans. It won't work without those cord(s).
