iOS 8.4 Battery Life

I updated to the new iOS 8.4 software yesterday around 4:00pm while at work. When I unplugged my phone and left work, the battery was at 100%. However, it hit 10% really quickly considering how little I was using it. When I woke up this morning, it was extremely hot even though I had not been using. After having it unplugged for 2 hours and spending about 30 minutes listening to music on my way to work, nothing else, the battery is already below 50%. Anyone else having this issue? All of my settings that help you save battery life are already adjusted, so nothing has changed in terms of background use.

Since doing the update my battery life has plummeted off a cliff, On third charge today now and I've barely used it. I read a whatsapp meassage earlier and it took my battery from 58% straight to 42%

When I left for work this morning my battery was 98%, 10 minute drive to work then read a couple of emails on my phone and it sent my battery to 52%!!!!!!

Whoever has been testing updates for the last few years does not do a very thorough job....

My latest backup was to icloud over night so already has the update on the backup, and my last backup on the pc was ages ago.

HI. Try to follow the instructions on this page in order to maximise your battery life: https://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

http://www.idigitaltimes.com/ios-82-battery-life-problems-how-fix-quick-drain-is sues-iphone-ipad-and-ipod-422229

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
  • Press and hold on the Home button
  • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

You may also try to reset all settings: go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

You may also try to follow these steps:

1. Navigate to settings/general/ battery usage. Check the applications. This will show you which app eats up your battery.

2. Turn off iCloud keychain: Navigate to Settings/ iCloud/Keychain / turn it off.

3. Limit apps activity on the background: Navigate to Settings/ general/ Background App refresh/ turn it off for each application which uses to much power.

4. Disable auto brightness: Navigate to settings/ display and brightness/ auto-brightness. Turn this option off.

Have been facing the same problem. the only thing people come up with is battery saving tips. this is a real issue people. i have restored my phone atleast 18 times in past five days. the problem is stuck like anything. have called support and after running diagnostic they say that hardware is fine. i have read a post somewhere where a GUY took his phone to genius bar and they were unable to resolve the issue and said to the person we cant do anything for you.

APPLE PLEASE ADMIT THE PROBLEM AND LET US ROLL BACK. WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH BRICK PHONES.

How are you going to revert when apple is not signing the roll back to IOS 8.3. if they are then kindly post for the sake of other users.
