When i go to itunes and click on the 'connect' it just says "an error occurred" so i cannot use Apple Music on my mac. It works perfectly on my iPhone 5s.

Same here. Apple Music seems very buggy on the Mac. Released too early?
Me too. Whilst I can access Music "For You" on my iPad 2 and iPhone 6, I can't get access to it on my MacBook Pro. I click on "Already a Member?' Nothing. It needs an urgent fix. Launched too early!

Running the latest versions of OSX and iTunes.
Exhausted my Google search phrases but can't seem to find a solution .....
Beats 1 on trying to play gets a 403 error on my Mac Mini with latest Yosemite OS X. All other Apple music stations do play but just not Beats 1 under the trial subscription. Same issue on my iPad Mini, Beats 1 just won't play.
To everyone that posted here, i worked out the fix, Go to preferences then tick show apple music 🙂

Tried your suggestion but still no luck in getting Beats 1 to play on both Mac Mini and iPad Mini.
Thanks for the suggestion JackJB94, was hopeful but when I went into preferences as suggested, 'show Apple music' WAS already ticked. So unfortunately still have same issue.

Try logging out of iTunes, shut it down, reopen it and log back in. That helped me and hope it helps you 🙂

I had to hit the button to start the free trial on my mac, had already done it on my phone. Enter your password and it makes the link and says you've already paid and then it all works 🙂

Tried all suggestions posted and still no luck connecting to Beats1. In iTunes Radio, I click the B1 Listen Now button and see the blue progress bar finish and then see the time 0:00 but does not advance on the Mac Mini. On the iPad Mini 2, upon clicking B1 button, dialog box message say "operation could not be completed (403)" so I suspect something is buggy in the update.
